Publishing Content Management

While the creation and management of content has traditionally been the domain of Marketing departments, today it touches every aspect of business. Publishing channels have grown from traditional print to a wide variety of outputs including web, digital, social media with new channels emerging constantly.

A well planned and implemented content management strategy allows all aspects of the business to access and utilize content in a consistent manner, ensuring the maintenance of brand identity, compliance and standards.

Ariza combines a deep knowledge and understanding of content strategy and partners with some of the leading Content Management System vendors to design and build robust CMS implementations.

Enterprise Documents and Records Management

Document management is how organizations store, manage, and track electronic documents. While these capabilities are often a part of a larger CMS, for some organizations a more focused solution is required. Document Management Systems provide:

  • Managed Storage

  • Check-in/Check-out and document locking

  • Security and Access Control

  • Versioning

  • Audit Trails

Digital Asset Management

Content Management and Digital Asset Management systems share many common functions. While a CMS’ main purpose is to manage ad deliver pages for websites, blogs and manage website structure, a DAM is used to organize all forms of media in a centralized location. Using taxonomy and metadata this media can be quickly searched for and retrieved by all members of an organization. DAM systems support sophisticated content creation and reuse workflows greatly improving efficiency and accuracy.

While CMS and DAM systems share some features, when combined together they represent a total solution for all aspects of media and content management and delivery. Ariza specializes in the selection, implementation and integration of Content Management and Digital Asset Management Systems to create a complete content ecosystem.

DITA XML Component Content Management

Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) is based on the XML standard. XML allows content to stand on its own regardless of how it is ultimately going to be rendered for a given output channel such as print, web, app, etc. The DITA approach is modular and makes use of topic files which take XML to a higher level of content reusability and publishing automation.

Drivers for adopting a DITA authoring and production model include:

  • Lower cost of maintaining existing content

  • Ability to easily reuse existing content in new publications

  • Lower translation costs

  • More consistency in your content

Workflow Automation

While on their own CMS and DAM bring powerful features and capabilities, their true potential is only realized with the application of automation of redundant tasks. Ariza uses a wide array of products and custom development to achieve the highest levels of workflow automation.

Automated Publishing

The goals of automated publishing center around the idea of producing multiple output formats from a single or multiple content sources with minimal human interaction. The key to content automation success begins with highly structured content with robust taxonomy and metadata. By automating the publishing process, companies are able to focus on creating compelling content rather than the manual effort to deliver that content.

Achieving maximum automation requires an upfront commitment in planning, time and capital, but yields significant ROI over the long-term.
